Carnegie Mellon University seeks a Senior Project Analyst in Pittsburgh, PA to support the Campus Design and Facility Development Department and assist the Senior Director of Planning and Construction to design, construct, and acquire teaching/learning/research spaces for CMU's students, faculty, and staff.
Specific duties include:
- Leading assigned projects through conceptual design, construction, bid, and closeout phases as well as analyzing and reporting of the overall project portfolio.
- Collecting, managing, and analyzing data for implementation, improving processes, and reporting to senior management.
- Planning the workflow for a project, including estimating time, budgeting, and gathering supplies and personnel.
- Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and with applicable national and local codes/standards.
Qualifications:
- Must have a master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Design, Engineering, or Construction Management plus two (2) years of experience in a directly related position in higher education construction project management.
- Must have two (2) years of experience with each of the following: (i) building reports from datasets and identifying relevant specifications; (ii) Tableau, Excel, and Project Management Information Systems; and (iii) data-driven benchmarking reporting.
- Must have one (1) year of experience with at least four (4) of the following types of projects: classroom renovations; residential renovations; utility infrastructure upgrades and installation; dorm renovations and new construction; apartment-style student housing renovations and new construction; or laboratory renovations and builds.
- Experience can be concurrent.
- Must have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Must be able to complete a successful background check.
